In 2010, we packed up our lovely little life at the seaside village of Kommetjie, South Africa, to go half-way across the world and pastor a church for five years in Canada. On an island, close to Vancouver.
The adjustment to the pacific northwest was rather steep, and in desperation my husband and I and said to each other, “Let’s survive a hundred island Sundays, just a hundred.”
To help count the weeks, and share a little of our island life with folk back home, I started this wee blog.
And now that we are back in South Africa, soaking up sunny day after sunny day, I miss those island Sundays!
