wee winter walk

Seriously, folk, there is nothing that is as good for the kids as getting outside in all seasons. Grows their brains, bodies, spirits.

And there are few things I enjoy as much myself – it is like a mini holiday.

Speaking of mini holidays, that’s what we took when we got on the ferry and drove past Squamish to walk around beautiful Alice Lake.

It was interesting to see the lake in its winter garb.

Usually we are swimming in it during church camp!

Thankfully it was a mild day out.

Ah, so wonderful!

(It gets even more pleasant after years of working on the 3 basic rules for outdoor ventures:
No whining.
No complaining.
No bad attitudes.)

Thank you, husband of mine.

It has been wonderful to get know the winter wonders – certainly something we don’t know in SA. What took us longest to learn was how to dress everyone appropriately, especially little people who get COLD!
I was interested to see a gallery site in the works. For your painting?
      Keep me posted!
      Lots of love!
