There is a certain boy who lives in our house whose hair grows like weeds. And this certain boy is not so keen on haircuts, being of rather the shy kind.

This boy’s mother was having her doubts about his constant drawing, and whittling of sticks too, through a curtain of hair, and with the help of his father dragged him off, not kicking and screaming, but rather very quietly and shyly NOT impressed, to the (only) local barber shop down the road.

And here he is, a brand-new boy.

Isn’t it true – one has to do a double take, they look so different! and he is indeed a fine young man. I am so glad I have a boy in my house – and to think how terrified i was of having one! Makes me have a chuckle now. Hope you are all well! Much love.

Hello Beth, you are so right, she is the COOLEST barber. And can barely get it over her heart to cut those white locks! So good to hear from you! Say hello to our old neighbourhood from all of us! I miss our chats across the gate a lot!!

Don’t they grow up too fast! I wish his auntie still lived around the corner… keeping our fingers crossed for a visit!!

Ah, our long haired boy has also gone short – we held out till 6!! It certainly makes them look so grown up!!
I still have my long haired man though ;-) yeh!!
    Love to you all, Shell

Hi Shelley you really made me laugh! I am afraid I have lost all my long-haired guys now! Would love to see your short-haired 6y old – I can only imagine how grown-up he looks.
Thank you for the party pictures – so fun to see them grow, even if it is from a distance.
      Take care!
