This picture from my window this week is, alas, a record of the last day of summer.
And now we are adding a new colour to our weather tree: GREY. For all those days when it does not rain but it is not sunny. I find a kind of perverse pleasure in seeing all those grey leaves appear on our weather tree. Grey and blue after a branch-and-a-half of green leaves for sunny-day record keeping; glorious while it lasted!
I am trying to remember that God’s grace is often likened to the rain, that He made the seasons, and that He made all the shades of grey that will paint our skies from now on. That maybe this is to be a time of rest and quietness of sorts.
I’ll let you know how that goes with a picture from my window from time to my time.
Wishing you joy as many of you wait for spring!
