first snow!

One morning this week we woke up to fat quiet snowflakes floating down from the sky.

‘It’s snowing! It’s snowing!!’ three of the short people cried, and hurried to get into snowsuits (kindly donated, one for each), tumbling outside to experience the wonder before breakfast.

It reminded me of a favourite read to Second Miss this week called Snow (Cynthia Rylant): “Children love snow better than anyone does …”   “And it [the snow] will say that it is all right to be happy…”

Oh yes, it is!

Hi Swesh, brilliant idea to have your own blog…
Ditto with the tears Jenny, miss you guys too much Corli… hard to put into words – loss comes to mind…

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven; A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.
    Ecclesiastes 3:1,2,4

…. and sometimes we laugh, weep, mourn and dance at the same time – and so my heart is full of all these things, about…, for…, and with you…

When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.
